The chair could stay here
At six on Wednesday, Alex Owen Nguyen put the coral makeup pouch beside the bedroom mirror and pulled out the chair. This was where the few minutes of makeup belonged. Moving everything to the kitchen would take over the clear surface Alex wanted for cooking.
The ordinary mirror could stay. Alex wanted a lighted view for the small details, and there was no socket at this dressing position. Drew was still on the way home. Alex had time to compare the two mirrors before asking about a shared purchase.
The Simplehuman Trio Max looked inviting. Its 10 inch mirror offered 1x, 5x and 10x views. Then Alex reached the power specification for the Brushed ST3050: plug-in. The chair, table and mirror still needed to be near a suitable socket for that plan to work.
The smaller mirror had its own battery
The 8 inch Brushed Round, ST3052, had a built-in rechargeable battery. Alex could charge it at the dry shelf beside the other outlet, then bring it back to the dressing table for cordless use.
Its view was 5x only. Alex would keep the ordinary unlit mirror for a full look and use the Round for detail. Anyone wanting all three illuminated views would have a different choice to make. The larger Trio Max had those views, with its plug-in requirement still attached.
Brightness was adjusted by touch, and there were two light settings. Alex usually preferred a chunky control. There was a physical power button, though brightness adjustment would still mean using the touch control. That was a compromise Alex was willing to make for the table’s position.
A place for the charging cord
The listing included a USB-C charging cord. It left the wall adapter unconfirmed. Simplehuman listed the Black Charger PD6095 for ST3052, so Alex added it to the kit check in case an approved adapter was absent. The laptop charger already in the house had unknown specifications.
Drew came in after half past six. Alex showed the smaller mirror and the separate charging shelf. Drew asked what the whole purchase would cost, including the charger. They would agree contributions from their existing personal budgets and check the total with tax and shipping before ordering.
The offer Alex had checked was sold and shipped by H-Marketplace. Simplehuman’s warranty terms exclude unauthorized marketplace sellers, and this seller’s authorization had not been established. The manufacturer’s five-year warranty could not be counted on for that offer.
Alex chose the Brushed ST3052 Round for this position. The 5x view suited the detail work, and the dry shelf beside the other outlet gave it a place to recharge.
The ordinary mirror stayed beside the coral pouch. Alex asked Drew for a place in the labeled tin for the new charging cord. Drew moved one small divider. The mirror could live where Alex wanted it, and its charging things would have a place to return to.
When this does not matter
You already have satisfactory lighting at your ordinary mirror and want no separate lighted detail view.
You can use a suitable plug-in mirror at your chosen position, so cordless operation is no longer the deciding requirement.
The practical fix
- Choose the 8 inch Brushed dual-light Round ST3052 when rechargeable 5x viewing fits the task. The exact US listing is B08FWPG4J7, matched by UPC 838810024196.
- Check the supplied USB-C cord and package. Obtain manufacturer-listed PD6095 if an appropriate approved wall adapter is absent. An unidentified household charger is not established as compatible.
- Confirm the delivered model and cord, and an appropriate US plug and outlet at a separate dry charging place. Charge there, then return the mirror to the dressing position for cordless use.
- Agree the full cost including any charger, tax and shipping. Check the actual seller and warranty terms before ordering.
- Keep an ordinary mirror if you also want a true-size view. Use the physical power switch and follow the manufacturer’s sensor-care guidance. Give the charging cord a fixed storage place.
This applies if…
- You are buying a lighted freestanding mirror for a dry indoor dressing position away from a socket and accept 5x magnification.
- You have a separate appropriate charging place and can obtain the approved charging kit within the agreed full cost.
The answer changes if…
- You need a true-size illuminated view or the Trio Max’s three magnifications.
- Your preferred dressing position can provide the appropriate mains connection for a plug-in mirror.
- The approved charger, charging place or complete kit cost cannot be arranged.
